INGREDIENTS
HOT CHICKEN AND WAFFLES
vegetable oil
3 chicken thighs (boneless and skinless, cubed)
2 Tbsp. granulated garlic
2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
2 Tbsp. ground cumin
2 Tbsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. ground black pepper
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs (beaten)
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
HEAT & SWEET HONEY SYRUP
1/2 cup heat and sweet honey
3 Tbsp. apricot preserves
1 1/2 cups maple syrup
2 Tbsp. horseradish
1 Tbsp. whole grain mustard
1 box frozen waffles (toasted)
hot sauce (optional)

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pot to 350 degrees F.
3. Sprinkle the chicken with the garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, onion powder, salt and pepper.
4. Prepare three bowls: flour, beaten eggs and panko breadcrumbs.
5. Dredge the chicken in the flour, then the eggs and lastly the panko breadcrumbs.
6. Working in batches, fry the chicken until golden brown. As they finish, place on a cookie sheet in the oven to keep warm.
7. Toast the frozen waffles and cut into quarters.
8. In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, horseradish, heat and sweet honey, apricot preserves and mustard.
9. To assemble, place a chicken piece between two waffle quarters. Drizzle with heat and sweet syrup and secure it all with a toothpick.
10. Garnish with a dash of hot sauce (optional).
